Miley Cyrus stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon for the start of her week of appearances on the late-night show and she had plenty of surprises to kick off the residency. Cyrus, always up for some fun, took the time to play Musical Genre Challenge, where she had to take a well-known song and sing it in a different style.
The Random Genre Generator was obviously working in Cyrus’ favor, when her first turn randomly assigned R Kelly’s “Ignition (Remix)” as a bluegrass tune. Fallon’s second round had him attempting a bit of Spanish as he took on Sublime’s “Santeria” in the style of a Latin crooner.
For the last round, Cyrus remixed Cardi B’s chart-topping single “Bodak Yellow” in a pop style that sounded like it came straight off the radio. Fallon jumped up to add a round of “Santeria” underneath as Cyrus requests her own lighting cues to set the mood.
